We would like to address you on behalf of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) and its Training Accreditation Committee (TAC), regarding the recent unsettling developments affecting psychotherapy training institutes in Greece.

We are aware that the current situation may be creating uncertainty and concern, particularly regarding your professional future and the recognition of your training. We wish to acknowledge this openly and to offer you clarity and reassurance.

First and foremost, we would like to emphasize that the accreditation of your institutes as EAPTI-accredited training institutes is not in question. These accreditations are based on rigorous and well-established European standards, and they reflect a high level of quality, consistency, and professional integrity in psychotherapy training.

Your education is grounded in these standards, and the work you are undertaking as trainees remains aligned with the requirements recognized by the European Association for Psychotherapy at the European level.

We are closely following the current situation in Greece, which appears to be connected to broader legal and regulatory developments at the national level. While these processes may affect the operational context of institutes, they do not alter the professional and educational standards on which your training is based.

Please, be assured that the EAP is closely monitoring these developments and remains committed to supporting and upholding the integrity and high standards of psychotherapy training within EAPTI-accredited institutes in Greece.
