Giorgos Zamanidis

Short Biography

Giorgos Zamanidis completed his studies in the Department of Psychology at Panteion University and has been trained in Existential Psychotherapy through his four-year attendance at the Hellenic Association for Existential Psychology “Gignesthai.” He holds a diploma in Family and Couples Therapy in the Systemic Psychotherapeutic approach, as well as a diploma in training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques (NLP Greece). He has collaborated with various institutions and carried out long-term clinical practice at the Society for Regional Development and Mental Health (E.P.A.P.S.Y.) in Marousi as a Clinical Psychologist and Existential Psychotherapist. He has also participated in Pan-European research on substance use among minors (ESPAD), as well as in various interventions for teachers and parents of primary and secondary school students, collaborating with the Center for the Prevention of Addictive Substances (PRONOI) in Kifissia. He completed his military service as a Psychologist in Cyprus, where he worked alongside Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and Medical staff, actively contributing to the care of hundreds of soldiers and officers. Noteworthy are the influences he has drawn from the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapeutic approach, which he acquired through various supervisory relationships in recent years. Today, he holds the role of Trainee Trainer at the Hellenic Association for Existential Psychology “Gignesthai,” while also working at his private practice in Lykovrysi. Finally, he continues to actively participate in research programs and scientific conferences.
