Anna Kourti, Ch.Psychol, AFBPsS

Short Biography

Anna Kourtis, Post-MA, MSc, BA, is a Counseling Psychologist and Existential Therapist. She studied psychology and completed two postgraduate programs in the United Kingdom, obtaining licence to practice as a psychologist in both the UK and Greece. Her engagement with existentialism began in 2001, and she delved deeply into European existentialism and its application in psychotherapy through the postgraduate program in Existential Counseling Psychology at Regent’s College, London. She is Chartered and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS), a member of the Association of Greek Psychologists, a licensed to practice counseling psychologist with the HCPC, a member of the Society for Existential Analysis (SEA) and has been a member of the board of trustees of the Federation for Existential Therapy in Europe (FETE) since 2023 . She has collaborated with the Municipality of Vrilissia organising the Counseling Department of the Social Services. She has presented at conferences in Greece and abroad on existential philosophy in psychotherapy. Since 2012, she has been a trainer at the Hellenic Association for Existential Psychology “Gignesthai” and, since 2022, a visiting lecturer teaching existential psychology to doctoral students at the Metropolitan College. She works privately as an existential counseling psychologist providing psychotherapy to adults and, as a certified supervisor (BPS), offers supervision to trainees and professionals in counseling and psychotherapy.
