Maria Kostoula
Short Biography
Maria Kostoula is a Psychologist and Existential Psychotherapist. She studied Psychology at Panteion University and subsequently trained in Existential Psychotherapy through the four-year program of the Hellenic Association for Existential Psychology, “Gignesthai”. In parallel, she furthered her training by completing the one-year postgraduate seminar “Clinical Psychopathology – Παναγιώτης Ουλής” organized by the 1st Psychiatric Clinic of the University of Athens – Aeginiteio Hospital. She worked as a psychologist at the Mobile Mental Health Unit of Chios, part of the Child and Adolescent Center, from 2019 to 2022, providing psychological support to clinical populations, coordinating community mental health initiatives to raise awareness on mental health issues, and actively participating in research projects and scientific conferences. She also worked at the Addiction Prevention Center of N. Arta (OKANA) from 2022 to 2023, coordinating psychoeducational groups for students, educators, and parents, as well as community-oriented activities in collaboration with local authorities and schools. Additionally, she has volunteered with the Society for Social Psychiatry “Π. Σακελλαρόπουλος” and at Attikon University Hospital during her practical training. Currently, she runs her private online practice, working with adults and adolescents, and collaborates externally with the Center for Speech Therapy and Psychomotor Development “Εργολόγιο”, providing parent counseling and psychological support for adolescents. She is also a member of the educational team at “Gignesthai” as a trainee trainer.
