Effie Boni is a Counseling Psychologist and Existential Psychotherapist, certified by the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP). She is a member of the Association of Greek Psychologists and the Federation for Existential Therapy in Europe (FETE). She holds a degree in Psychology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and Counseling in Education, Health, and Work (NKUA in collaboration with Democritus University of Thrace). She further specialized in Existential Psychotherapy at “gignesthai” – Hellenic Association for Existential Psychology, where she currently also serves as a trainer. She has additionally continued training in Focusing and an introductory program in Focusing-Oriented Trauma Therapy at the Hellenic Focusing Center. Her professional experience includes volunteering or working in diverse therapeutic and community settings. She has collaborated with the Athina Program (a therapeutic program for adults with issues related to substance, alcohol, internet, or gambling use), the NGO Klimaka (mental health services), and the helpline “Dipla sou” (supporting the LGBTQ+ community). She has also collaborated with NGOs supporting unaccompanied minors in Greece facing integration challenges during the asylum process. From 2021 to 2023, she worked as a psychologist at the Second Chance School of Korydallos Prison. Currently, she maintains a private practice in Kifissia.
